SUMMARY DESCRIPTION 

The Warehouse Lead Hand works under the supervision of the Operations Manager. The Warehouse Lead Hand ensures coordination between the work teams to promote the achievement of the company’s production objectives.

The Warehouse Lead Hand provides the necessary support to fulfilling and control of the activities related to operations and production, including storage of bulk liquid products. The Warehouse Lead Hand ensures that production objectives are met, taking into account the company’s budgetary and timetable directives, but also in compliance with the legislation in force in terms of health and safety, environment and any other applicable area.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plans, organizes and supervises, mixing and liquid loading operations in order to meet the customer needs;
  • Completes production reports for activities under his responsibility;
  • Verifies and approves the time cards for the employees under his charge;
  • Ensures compliance with customer requirements for identification and packaging;
  • Monitors inventories of products stored;
  • Ensures proper functioning of equipment and writes the requests for maintenance intervention required in company's computer system;
  • Manages the tools available, ensures that the available tools are adequate and ensures that they are maintained, replaced or purchased as needed;
  • Ensures compliance with the company’s health and safety policies;
  • Ensures that the personnel under his charge are trained according to the laws, regulation in force and company policies.

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES

Education: 
Minimum High School Graduate and equivalent experience relevant to the chemical, warehouse and production industry.

Experience:
3 to 5 years of experience in the field, ideally with a Leadership role in a production operations foremen position with a good knowledge of the storage of dry and liquid chemicals.

Languages: 
English, French is an asset.

Softwares:
Word, Excel and Outlook.

Others:
Good knowledge of health and safety regulations;
Good knowledge of hazardous materials; 
Available for extended hours and overtime as required.

JOB TYPE

  • Permanent, full time - 40 hours per week;
  • Working hours: 7:30 to 16:00;
